Background

I studied BSc (Hons) Diagnostic Radiography at University of Cumbria in Lancaster from 2006-2009. Upon completion of the undergraduate course I started working for East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

I undertook the PgC Medical Imaging course at University of Bradford in 2012 which qualified me to report musculoskeletal radiographs. I then completed the ‘Chest Image Interpretation’ module in 2015 and a ‘Current Topics in Radiography’ module in 2016 which awarded me my PgD Medical Imaging. This enabled me to add chest radiograph reporting to my skill base.

I was appointed as a Consultant Radiographer in 2017 at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

I was awarded an MSc in Medical Imaging by the University of Bradford in July 2019. The study concentrated on interdisciplinary working between radiographers, advanced nurse practitioners and extended/advanced scope physiotherapists in an emergency department.
