Mr Al-Mula Abed has been a locum consultant in urology at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust since 2017.

He completed his Urology residency training at the University Hospital of Sultanate of Oman between 2006 and 2012. He was awarded the title of Fellow Board of Health Specialisations and registered as a specialist in urology.

He undertook further intense and specialised training in the United Kingdom between Royal Blackburn Teaching Hospital and Royal Preston Hospital. Mr Abed was an integral part of the team during these years.

Between 2013 and 2016 he received his Masters of Surgery from the University of Edinburgh and more recently he has been appointed as an undergraduate eTutor for the program. He is actively involved in teaching and is a faculty member for the Rapid Revision Viva Course for the FRCS Urol.

He is an associate member of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
