We provide high quality healthcare services primarily to the residents of East Lancashire and Blackburn with Darwen, which have a combined population in the region of 530,000.
The programme delivers all 11 Core Skills Training subjects by introducing facilitated eLearning combined with classroom training.
New starters must attend Corporate Trust Induction as their first two working days of employment. See the new programme below:

Core Skills e-Learning including:
Recognition of previously undertaken Core Skills training provided outside of the organisation will be considered.
Staff are advised to bring copies of any relevant training certificates, or their previous employer validated learning record to day one of the induction and submit these to the facilitator for consideration.
On the first day of your induction, during the lunch break, we ask a number of organisations that provide staff benefits to staff at East Lancashire Hospitals Trust, to attend. We call this the Marketplace. This opportunity allows you to speak to a representative of the organisations and understand how they might be able to benefit you in your life whilst in employment with ELHT.
The Marketplace includes (but is not limited to) the following organisations:
The Trust expects the new starter to take responsibility for ensuring that the local induction (and checklist) is completed (in partnership with their line manager) during their first month of work, or as soon as possible i.e. on the first day/shift if a short-term temporary placement. Here is a brief guide to completing the checklist:
There is NO requirement to return a copy of the checklist to Education and Development Department
PLEASE NOTE: The new starter's compliance will not be updated on the Learning Hub until the self-declaration has been successfully completed.
If you have evidence of prior learning, please be aware that East Lancashire Hospitals Trust has aligned to the Core Skills Training Framework and can therefore only accept training provided by other Core Skills aligned organisations.
It would be helpful if possible if you could forward any previous learning/training prior to your attendance on day 1 to firstname.lastname@example.org. Alternatively, you may bring these today one of the induction programme and submit these for consideration.
