From a nursing point of view the opportunities offered by a career in nursing and midwifery have never been better, with roles ranging from the essential day-to-day caring responsibilities – to the highly technical, research, executive leadership – and many, many more.
This month’s challenge asks nurses, midwives and care staff to creatively solve a difficult problem in the workplace or the community and to bring different perspectives and views to the table, by widening your network and making better use of others’ experience, skills and uniqueness.
Where us older, more esteemed individuals with our vast wealth of experience impart our knowledge to the younger generation. Those learning the ropes, needing guidance and direction. We take them under our wing and share our wisdom and our way of doing things because we have the knowledge. Right?
It was dark when I set off from home, it was the dead of winter and bitterly cold. With Christmas tunes playing on the radio I headed out on the M65 in the North of England. As the sun began to rise as I neared my destination, I was able to appreciate the beautiful countryside that graced the road I travelled on.
