Our Spinal Clinic is for:

Advice on self-management of spinal pain for those aged 16 years and over.

If required, assessment and management of neck, mid-back or lower-back pain which may include pain radiating to the arm or leg.

Before attending we advise:

1  Consult your GP (Doctor) or Pharmacist as adequate pain relief is essential to facilitate your recovery.

2  Read our patient information leaflets:

If your pain is not settling then please attend our clinic

At the clinic:

You will be expected to complete a questionnaire so bring reading glasses if necessary.

The completed questionnaires will help us allocate you an appointment with the most appropriate clinician, which may not be on the same day.

If you would prefer to complete the questionnaires at home they can be downloaded here. You can bring the completed forms along to one of our the spinal clinics - details below for dates / times / locations.

You may be expected to undress for examination so bring shorts / vest top if you prefer.

Your assessment may last for up to 1 hour

You must be able to speak English or bring an adult with you who can.  If not, you need to contact the Physiotherapy Department to arrange an alternative appointment with an interpreter.

Please note: 

  • There will be a wait before being seen.
  • You may be offered an appointment on another day.
  • These clinics do not operate on bank holidays
