Reclining ‘lazy boy’ chairs are baby boost for expectant partners!
Waiting for your partner to give birth can be hard work! Nervous new dads and partners can now enjoy comfortable, reclining chairs which have been fitted on maternity wards at Burnley General Teaching Hospital to allow them to rest while staying by their loved ones’ bedside.
The new, ultra-comfy, fully reclining chairs, are aimed at helping partners to develop an early bond with their newborns and encourage them to become actively involved in the care of their baby right from birth. Mums can now choose if they want to have their partner stay with them so they can experience those first precious hours together.
