Join us to celebrate and show your appreciation for the years of commitment and innovation our NHS has given us all in every aspect of life – from the moment we are born through to end-of-life care.

Here are a few ideas of things you can do to raise money. Whatever you decide to do, get in touch and let us know your plans.

  • NHS Big Tea - Organise a tea party, cake sale or gathering with friends, family, colleagues, your school or community group. Take part between the 5th July (the NHS’ Birthday) and the 12th of July, or a date that suits you. Raise money through baking, serving cups of tea, ‘guess the weight of the cake’ and other fun activities. Sign up for your FREE NHS Big Tea fundraising pack by emailing fundraising@elht.nhs.uk.
  • Wear it blue - Blue is the recognised colour of our NHS, so to mark the 75th Birthday celebration, why not go blue and dress down at work, school or with your community group? Make an event around ‘going blue’ – organise a raffle on the day or ask your guests to donate. Sign up and we’ll send you some hints and tips to get you started.
  • The Big NHS Tee-Off - Be part of our inaugural golf tournament at Clitheroe Golf Club on Friday 18 August
  • Donate - Making a donation is a wonderful way to say thank you to your local hospitals and help us be there for even more people now and in the future.

Other ways to donate:

Text giving is a great way to set up regular giving. Text:  NHS 3 to 70085 to give £3 a month 'texts cost the donation amount plus two standard network rate messages' until you unsubscribe (change the number to gift a different amount).

We’ve worked with our amazing staff across multiple wards and departments to build our Amazon Wishlist, adding items for all budgets including dementia books, children's toys, and cancer patient thermal wear. These items help to improve the wellbeing of the thousands of people treated across our Trust, making hospital stays and visits a more comfortable and relaxing experience. These donations make a real difference to the patients we treat each day. Please help us to create that home from home feel by purchasing from our wish list here.

Facebook Fundraisers gives users the option of creating their own fundraising page all through Facebook with 100% of the donations going to the chosen charity. A Facebook Fundraiser posted to your timeline tells your friends and family what matters to you on your special day (& it doesn't have to be instead of cakes and cards!).
