Be a super hero and challenge yourself in support of your local NHS hospital charity!
With many fundraising events sadly postponed due to coronavirus, we are excited to introduce ELHT&Me’s very first VIRTUAL challenge -The Big NHS Heroes Challenge. This is your chance to be a super hero and raise funds from your very own living room, bedroom, or garden to support your NHS Heroes!
To take part in our event we are asking our supporters to:
Do 5 - complete a challenge based on the number 5. You can set your own personal challenge. This could be any activity you like – from running 5k to holding an online workout with 5 of your friends to simply reading 5 books. The only requirement is that you must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
Donate £5 through our JustGiving page - www.justgiving.com/campaign/TheBigNHSHeroesChallenge, or by texting BIGNHSHERO to 70085 to donate £5.
Challenge 5 people on your social media to do the same (remembering to post a picture of yourself having completed your challenge and to tag us @ELHT&Me)
Whatever your age or ability, you can take part.
Our virtual Big NHS Heroes Challenge will ‘launch’ on Monday 5 October. You have until Saturday 31 October to complete your chosen challenge. You could do the challenge all in one go, or gradually over the four week event period!
The main thing is that you some FUN with your Big NHS Challenge!
The sky is the limit but here are some ideas to give you some inspiration for your charity challenge:
- Run 5 miles or kms (indoors, outdoors or on the spot!)
- Bike ride for 5 miles or kms
- Walk 5km (that’s 6250 steps!) around your house (dressed as a super hero if you like!)
Whether you're skipping around your local running track 5 times, or challenging the kids to a sponsored 5 minute silence, help to inspire others by sharing pictures or videos of your challenge on social media using the official hashtag #BigNHSHeroesChallenge to be part of the campaign.
We look forward to seeing what amazing and unique challenges you come up with.
