MEDICAL MASTERCLASS - NEW FEATURE

MRCP (UK) PACES Screencasts 

A series of new PACES screencasts are available to via our Medical Masterclass subscription. Produced by Dr John Firth, Medical Masterclass editor-in-chief, the series of screencasts introduce candidates to the MRCP(UK) PACES examination stations and advise what to expect during the PACES examination.

Key features of Medical Masterclass:

bullet A series of 30 question, 60 minute timed examinations
bullet Take mock MRCP(UK) Part 1and Part 2 Written examinations on-line

Access to Medical Masterclass is via a username and password available from the library.  Usernames and passwords are issued for an initial period of 4 weeks, however these can be renewed if they have not been reserved.

 

SELF-SERVICE HAS ARRIVED AT BLACKBURN 

The self-service machine at the Blackburn site library is now in use.

WHAT CAN I DO???

  • Issue and return your books 24/7 and get a printed receipt
  • Pay your fines (under £5.00)
  • Check your library account and reservations
  • Renew your books up to 3 times without bringing them in

HOW???

You just need your library barcode, which is usually on the back of your Trust I.D. badge)

Touch screen commands will guide you

New E-Books Collection Exam Preparation

The library has purchased the full collection of 101 e-books for medical and allied healthcare professionals and students preparing for exams.

Titles included in the collection are:-

  • MCQs and EMQs books

Online Access to Oxford Handbooks (Medical & Nursing)

You now have full online access to all the Oxford Medical Handbooks and Oxford Handbooks of Nursing. There are over 70 books in this collection and these can be access at http://oxfordmedicine.com

You will need to log-in with your NHS Athens username and password.
