The Marketing and Communications Department provides a comprehensive service to keep journalists and the media informed about the work of East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust. This part of the site is intended for members of the press and broadcasting industry who may be looking for detailed information about the work of the Trust or relevant contacts at East Lancashire Hospitals NHS Trust.

We facilitate a wide range of media activities including:

• providing experts for comment on health-related issues
• providing case studies subject to patient or parental consent if under 18 years
• condition checks
• overseeing filming relevant to the work of the Trust
• we are compliant with the Freedom of Information Act
• providing an emergency out of hours media service
• offering exclusive stories on Trust developments and pioneering projects
